Cold spell to tighten reins more this week

Temperatures are expected to drop throughout the country this week, reported the local media.

"Next weekend is expected to be frosty too, but it is not possible to make any forecast such a long period away,” said the meteorologist on duty, Antti Jylhä-Ollila.

In the south, temperatures will range between minus one and minus seven degrees Celsius, while, in the north, the barometers would vary between minus 10 and minus 20 degrees Celsius.

Winds are expected to build up speed, particularly at the beginning of the week, which will augment the feeling of cold.

There is a likelihood of a minimal snowfall in the central and northern parts at the end of the week.
