Snowfall forecast across Finland, mercury goes to -14 °C in north

The Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) on Wednesday forecast massive snowfall at different parts of the country from Thursday afternoon.

The temperature will drop up to minus 14 degrees Celsius in the northern part of the country while in the south the temperature will fall to in between minus 1 and minus 5 degrees Celsius, said the Met office.

Heavy snowfall and gusty wind are likely to hit western part on Thursday evening and continue to move to the other regions till Friday.

According to the FMI, the snowfall will move to Southeast region over Southern and Central Finland between Thursday evening and Friday morning.

Driving condition on the road will be deteriorated due to the snowfall.
