The weather for next week is forecast to be very chilly, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute.

The Met Office said a new cold northern airflow is currently moving towards southern Finland.

The temperature will drop on Sunday night and dropping of temperature during the day is forecast immediately at the start of the week throughout the country.

The night frost will heighten and in southern Finland the temperature will drop to minus ten degrees Celsius.

“The entire week seems very winterish and very cold considering the time of the year despite the fact that the nights are brighter due to the shifting of the clock and the sun is very visible,” said meteorologist on duty Paavo Korpelainen.
