The mild weather experienced in the last few days is forecast to continue, according to national broadcaster Yle.

The mild weather may prolong and melt the snow blanket rapidly in the south and west coast.

The second week of the ski holiday is normally colder than the first, however, the weather at this time of the year is comparatively warmer.

Sunny days are forecast at the beginning of the week, however, at the end of the week temperatures will drop across the country.

Yle's meteorologist Matti Huutonen said that the warm weather at this time of the year is exceptional, and compared the condition to the end of March.

Frigid conditions may only last for a few more days and possibly this could be the last moments to enjoy the snow cover in the southern parts of the country.
