4 killed, 5 others wounded in bar shooting in Kansas City: U.S. police

Four people were killed and five others wounded in a predawn shooting on Sunday at a bar in Kansas City in the U.S. state of Kansas, local police said.

Thomas Tomasic, spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department, said an emergency call from Tequila KC bar came earlier in the day. The bar is on Central Avenue in downtown Kansas City.

Tomasic added that the four people were found dead inside the bar, and that the five injured people were hospitalized and in stable condition.

No suspect has been apprehended so far and the motive for the shooting remains unknown, the spokesman said.

The Kansas City Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives tweeted that its agents were responding to the shooting.
