Saudi king says difficult phase caused by coronavirus will pass

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said on Thursday that the difficult phase the world witnesses due to the coronavirus epidemic will end.

"This crisis will become a piece of history that proves man's defiance in the face of this hardship humankind is experiencing," King Salman said in a speech addressing citizens and residents in the kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Saudi Arabia continues to take all precautionary measures to confront this pandemic and limit its effects, he said.

Saudi Ministry of Health announced on Thursday 36 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases to 274 in the country.
