A two-month-old Israeli premature baby contracted the novel coronavirus at the hospital where he was born, Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem said on Sunday.

The hospital's statement said that the baby, born with very low weight and severe complications, underwent a coronavirus test after a worker at the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit was diagnosed with the virus.

Accordingly, hospital staff and the baby's parents were asked to undergo quarantine.
