Vietnam reports no new coronavirus cases for 3 straight days

Vietnam reported no new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, the third day in a row, with its total confirmed cases remaining at 271, according to its Ministry of Health.

Vietnam has 232 patients cured in total as of Wednesday evening, while there are 131 suspected cases and nearly 34,100 people being monitored and quarantined, with no deaths from the disease reported so far, according to the ministry.

The country's Ministry of Transport announced on Wednesday that the regulations to keep distance between passengers on means of transport including bus, taxi, coach, train and airplane will be lifted from Thursday, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam also announced on the same day that the restriction on the number of passengers per aircraft and the limitation on the number of domestic flight routes between the capital city of Hanoi, southern Ho Chi Minh City and central city of Da Nang will be lifted from Thursday, according to the report.

Meanwhile, the quarantine order placed on Ha Loi village on the outskirt district of Hanoi, which was once considered an outbreak with a total of 13 cases of COVID-19 infection, was lifted on Wednesday as no new cases have been recorded in this village for 21 straight days.
