Shooting at birthday party leaves 2 dead in California

A shooting at a child's birthday party in Northern California's Vallejo on Tuesday night left two women dead and three people injured, reported Xinhua.

   "A total of five gun shot wound victims confirmed, 4 adults and one child, two adult female victims are deceased," the Vallejo Police Department said in a Facebook post on Wednesday morning.

   The victims were at a toddler's birthday party when a group of shooters exited a vehicle and opened fire in what was a targeted shooting, local police said.

   The shooting occurred before 10 p.m. local time on Cynthia Avenue between Wendy and Amelia streets in North Vallejo.

   A man, woman and a 10-year-old child suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police.
