KSA announces extra facilities for coronavirus-hit foreigners

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) announced on Sunday additional facilities for foreigners who were affected by the COVID-19 lockdown, reported Xinhua.
Saudi Interior Ministry said in a statement that the new facilities aim to promote the government's efforts to minimize the economic impacts on the coronavirus.
The services include extending the residence permits of foreign residents in Saudi Arabia and abroad for three months, including those who are in the kingdom on visit visas.
The departure and arrival visas will also be extended for three months, with all the services free of charge.
Meanwhile, Saudi Health Ministry announced on Sunday the registration of 3,580 new coronavirus infections, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 209,509.
The recoveries rose to 145,236 with 1,980 new recovered cases.
The death toll reached 1,916 after 58 fatalities in the last 24 hours were added.
