Lebanese citizen killed by Israeli gunshot in border demonstrations

A Lebanese citizen was killed by Israeli gunshot on Friday when the Israeli army fired machine guns, smoke bombs and tear gas toward Lebanese demonstrators trying to break through the border fence between the two countries, reported Xinhua, quoting the Lebanese National News Agency.

The demonstrations at the Lebanese border village of Kafr Kila were held in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Meanwhile, Al-Jadeed TV channel reported that the Lebanese army tried to drag protesters away from the border fence in the presence of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.

Israel and Gaza's ruler Hamas have been fighting fiercely since Monday.
