Secret wealth of many world leaders including Putin, Blair exposed

The secret wealth and dealings of world leaders, politicians and billionaires has been exposed in one of the biggest leaks of financial documents- Pandora Papers- reported British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

Some 35 current and former leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Jordan King Abdullah II and more than 300 public officials are featured in the files from offshore companies, dubbed the Pandora Papers, said the BBC report.

According to the papers, the King of Jordan secretly amassed about €82 million of UK and US property, ex-UK PM Tony Blair and his wife saved €364,000 in stamp duty when they bought a London office and Russian President Vladimir Putin was involved in secret assets in Monaco.

It also showed the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis - facing an election later this week - failed to declare an offshore investment company used to purchase two villas for €14 million in the south of France.
