Israeli police on Friday questioned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the seventh time over investigations on corruptions.
The questioning lasted more than four hours and took place in the prime minister's official residence in Jerusalem, the police told Xinhua.
Israeli media reported that it appears to be the last time the police would question Netanyahu before they will pass their conclusions to State Attorney Avichai Mendleblit, who would decide whether to indict the long-ruling prime minister.
Netanyahu is suspected of getting involved in two criminal cases dubbed by the police "case 1,000" and "case 2,000."
The prime minister is suspected of receiving luxury gifts from Israeli-U.S. Hollywood tycoon Arnon Milchan. Netanyahu said he had been a longtime friend of Milchan and the gifts were given "between friends."
He is also suspected of allegedly making secret deals in exchange for favorable coverage in Yediot Aharonot, one of Israel's largest daily newspapers.
Netanyahu dismissed the suspicions as a "witch hunt" led by hostile media. After Friday's questioning, he wrote on his Facebook account: "Nothing new under the sun. Again, I answered all the questions, and this time too I repeat with absolute certainty: There will be nothing, because there was nothing."
