4 killed, 37 injured in Indonesia train collision

Four people were killed and 37 others wounded as two trains collided in Indonesia's West Java province on Friday morning, rescuers and officials said, reported Xinhua.
According to local media ANTARA, the victims were four train crew members, a driver, an assistant driver, a steward, and a security officer. Meanwhile, a total of 478 passengers of the two trains survived the crash.
Acmad Hanapi, director of the Cicalengka General Hospital, where the injured were rushed, told reporters that 21 people got minor injuries and six others had moderate wounds.
The Indonesian Transport Safety Committee (KNKT) will conduct a joint investigation with Indonesia's state-owned railway company PT KAI on the fatal incident, said Soerjanto Tjahjono, head of the committee.
Tjahjono said that it would take two to three months to conclude the investigation, citing that the investigators are collecting information and data.
