10 killed in firing incident in NW Pakistan

At least 10 family members were killed in a firing incident in a house in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police officials said on Wednesday, reported Xinhua.

According to the police, the incident happened in Lakki Marwat district of the province, in which unknown assailants broke into the family house and sprayed bullets on the inhabitants, killing them on the spot.

Women and children were among the victims, said the police, adding that the miscreants escaped after the attack, and they have launched a search operation in surrounding areas to arrest them.

Police have started an initial investigation, with officials collecting evidence from the incident site.
