At least 13 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on a house and a UN-run school housing displaced people in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources said on Friday, reported Xinhua.
At least 10 Palestinians, including children and women, were killed in a missile attack on a house in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to Palestinian security sources.
Meanwhile, local sources and eyewitnesses told Xinhua that Israeli aircraft targeted a school operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in the al-Shati refugee camp in western Gaza City.
The Palestinian Civil Defense Service reported that its crew recovered the bodies of three people and dozens were injured in the raid.
Israeli warplanes also bombed a UNRWA school in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza a day earlier, which killed at least 35 Palestinians.
Responding to Thursday's bombing, Israeli military spokesman Peter Lerner said that the Israeli forces targeted "20 to 30 terrorists" in the school compound, adding that efforts were made to minimize civilian casualties.
The Israeli army has been conducting a large-scale offensive on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, after Hamas carried out an unprecedented attack on the Israeli towns adjacent to the strip, during which approximately 1,200 people were killed and about 250 others were taken hostage.
