More than 10 people were killed on Tuesday in an artillery attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Al-Huda city in central Sudan, a resistance committee announced, reported Xinhua.
"The RSF militia continues to commit bloody massacres against the citizens of Gezira State," the resistance committee in Wad Madani, the capital city of the Gezira state, said in a statement on its Facebook page.
"Today (Tuesday) a new massacre was committed in Al-Huda city, where more than 10 people were killed and a number of others injured according to first estimates," the committee said.
The RSF took control of Gezira State in December 2023 after the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) withdrew from Wad Madani.
Sudan has been witnessing deadly clashes between the SAF and the RSF since April 15, 2023.
The deadly clashes have so far claimed more than 15,550 lives and displaced over 8.8 million people nationwide, according to recent estimates by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
