At least nine Palestinians were killed and dozens of others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza City and Khan Younis, in north and south of the Gaza Strip separately, reported Xinhua, quoting Palestinian sources on Sunday.
An Israeli drone targeted with two missiles a gathering of Palestinians in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, eyewitnesses told Xinhua. Medical sources said the raid killed five people, including a child.
In another Israeli raid, four Palestinians were killed in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, west of Gaza City, according to the Civil Defense.
The Israeli army has not commented on these incidents yet.
Families in Gaza live with minimal access to clean water, sanitation items and cleaning supplies, leading to an increase in skin infections and diseases, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said on social media platform X on Sunday.
Israel has continued a large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip to retaliate against a Hamas rampage through the southern Israeli border on Oct. 7, 2023, during which about 1,200 people were killed and around 250 were taken hostage.
During the past 24 hours, the Israeli military killed 66 people and wounded 241 others, bringing the total death toll to 39,324 and injuries to 90,830 since the Palestinian-Israeli conflict broke out in early October 2023, Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement on Sunday.
