Ten Palestinians were killed and several others injured during Israeli army operations in the West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.

Five people were killed on Tuesday by the Israeli bombing of a vehicle in Jenin, northern West Bank, the Ramallah-based Health Ministry said in a brief statement.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a press statement that the Israeli army prevented the crews from reaching the bombing site and opened fire on the ambulances before allowing them to reach the vehicles.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement on Tuesday that in two separate strikes, an Israeli Air Force aircraft struck armed "terrorist cells" during a "counterterrorism operation" in the area of Jenin.

On Tuesday morning, a young man, identified as Muhammad Rizq Ibrahim Hamash, was killed by the Israeli forces' bullets near Bethlehem, southern West Bank, the ministry said in a separate statement.

The young Palestinian man was killed by Israeli army bullets near a checkpoint west of Bethlehem. The Israeli side said he carried out a stabbing operation against a female soldier there, according to Palestinian security sources.

Israeli state-owned Kan TV news reported that a female security force soldier was slightly injured in a stabbing attack at the tunnel checkpoint, noting that a Palestinian got off the bus that was stopped for inspection, reached the checkpoint, and ran towards the Israeli forces at the scene while holding a screwdriver, stabbing a female soldier from these forces.

In a third statement by the ministry, four Palestinians were killed and seven others injured on Monday evening by Israeli forces' bullets in the town of Aqaba, north of Tubas, northern West Bank.

The ministry identified the slain victims as one 14-year-old, two 19-year-old, and one 36-year-old.

Israeli army forces stormed the town of Aqaba and surrounded a house, Palestinian security forces told Xinhua. Meanwhile, eyewitnesses reported that clashes erupted between local men and the forces, who responded by opening fire on them.

Palestinian Presidential Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh said in a statement on Tuesday that the Israeli side's escalated measures in the West Bank are "a crossing of all red lines," according to the Palestinian official news agency WAFA.

Amid the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank has also been witnessing rising tensions between the Israeli army and Palestinians.
