3 Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza: army

Three Israeli reserve troops were killed in the Gaza Strip on Thursday when an explosive device detonated, Israel's military said in a statement, reported Xinhua.

"The three fell during combat in the northern Gaza Strip," the military said.

The soldiers were identified as Ori Moshe Borenstein, 32, commander of an Achzarit Armored Personnel Carrier; Netanel Hershkovitz, 37, deputy company commander in the Logistical Support Unit of the 5460th Armored Unit; and Matityahu Marantz Tzvi, 32, a squad commander in the same unit.
