At least 30 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday as the Israeli army issued additional evacuation warnings for areas north of Gaza City, reported Xinhua.

Palestinian medical sources and eyewitnesses told Xinhua that Israeli aircraft targeted a house belonging to the Mabhooh family in Jabalia refugee camp, which also led to injuries with varying degrees of severity. Several other residents of the house remained missing under the rubble.

The Israeli army did not immediately comment on the airstrike.

In addition, the Israeli army warned residents in five neighborhoods in the north of Gaza to evacuate their homes, saying these areas "are launching rocket attacks on Israel."

"The specified area has been repeatedly warned in the past. We inform you that this area is considered a dangerous combat zone. For your safety, move south immediately," said Avichay Adraee, an Israeli army spokesperson.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli army announced it had intercepted a single rocket launched from the Gaza Strip. No Palestinian faction claimed responsibility for the launch.

Israel has been launching a large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip to retaliate against a Hamas rampage through the southern Israeli border on Oct. 7, 2023, during which about 1,200 people were killed and about 250 were taken hostage.

The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 43,469, the Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement on Thursday.
