The prices of crypto currencies dived in the early hours on Friday due to continuous selloff of risk assets in the global market, reported Xinhua.

Bitcoin sank as low as 92,131 U.S. dollars early Friday with a maximum loss of 9.66 percent in the last 24 hours, according to trading platform Coinbase.

Meanwhile, Ethereum fell below 3,100 U.S. dollars at one point on Friday morning with maximum loss exceeding 15 percent in the last 24 hours.

The prices of Dogecoin touched a low of 0.26 U.S. dollars with a maximum loss of 28 percent in the last 24 hours, according to Coinbase.

The futures of major U.S. stock indices fell sharply in the overnight market while Asian and European equity markets dropped as a whole on Friday.

The major U.S. stock indices opened lower on Friday and safe-haven demand drove up gold futures prices by over 1 percent at one point in the morning session.

Still, a better-than-expected U.S. November personal consumption expenditure price index released on Friday morning eased market concerns and narrowed losses of crypto currencies.
