At least 1,001 Palestinians were killed and 2,359 others injured since Israel renewed its intensive strikes on March 18 across the Gaza Strip, Gaza-based health authorities said on Monday, reported Xinhua.
A total of 80 bodies and 305 injuries arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals during the past 48 hours, health authorities said in a statement, noting that there are still a number of victims under the rubble, and ambulance and civil defense workers cannot reach them.
The Israeli army bombed the village of Al-Masdar in the central Gaza Strip and east of Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip, on Monday, killing at least five people, the Palestinian official news agency WAFA reported.
The army on Monday also bombed several areas in Khan Younis, the southern Gaza Strip, causing casualties, WAFA added.
The Israeli army has not commented on these attacks yet.
Gaza health authorities also noted on Monday that the death toll from the Israeli military operations since Oct. 7, 2023 has risen to 50,357, and injuries to 114,400.
