Apartment building fire kills 3 in Canada

Three people were killed and 11 others wounded over a fire occurring early Saturday in an apartment in Longueuil, Quebec Province, Canada, according to CTV.

The fire broke out in the apartment building with several dozen units around 01:00 a.m. local time. Fourteen people were taken to hospital, where a couple in their 40s and a woman in her 60s died.

Against strong winds, firefighters took more than seven hours to extinguish the fire around 08:30 a.m. local time.
