At least 30 people were killed and several others injured in a train derailment accident Sunday in Kasai province of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo).

According to information from police in the area, most of the dead passengers were stowaways who boarded the train carrying mainly goods.

For the moment, the hospital authorities of the area have already confirmed the recovery of at least 30 bodies.

Several seriously wounded people were taken by police to the hospital near the accident site.
